New Alumni Chair

On pledge night this year, we welcomed 8 new candidates into the house, with 2 more to follow a few days later who couldn’t make pledge night. This is down drastically from last year’s 19 but the general mood around the house is upbeat, as the house is in quite good standing with our current 41 actives.

Our average GPA, not including candidates, is a 3.265, which is good for the second highest of all organizations on campus, next to Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, who came in with just above a 3.3.

Sadly, Perina, our cook, will not return for this semester, and could possibly be done with the house for good. Her foot problem has become quite worse and has been advised by her doctor to take at least a semester off. The general consensus is that it would be better for her health and well being if she were to remain at home with her family.

On February 23rd, the house will be doing our annual large fund raising event, the Polar Bear Plunge, to benefit Special Olympics New Jersey. Over the past 2 years, the house has raised over $3,000 to benefit the spectacular charity. Our goal this year is $2,000. It would be great if you guys could help out and send some donations to the house (make checks payable to special Olympics new jersey). And if anybody would like to show up and support the house that day, it is taking place at Jenkinson’s Pavilion in Point Pleasant New Jersey. If you’re interested, please email me (see address below) for directions.

I thank you all in advance for your generosity toward our fundraising efforts and look forward to hearing from you and possibly seeing you there. If you wanna stop by the house, feel free, you are more than welcome. If you want to contact with any questions about the house or anything in general, please also feel free. My information is:
